About the Adventure

Roar and Snore has been one of their most memorable trips for the AG program.  Sleep to the sounds of the animals and wake up overlooking the African plains before viewing the active lions.  Night safaris, guided tours, full park access, Beverages, Dinner, Late night snack and Breakfast provided. Additional items avaialble for purchase.

REQUIRED WAIVER (one per person):

Each waiver  requires you to write in your Sleepover Date 03/02/24 and your Order #5217845.

ACCOMODATIONS & PRICING

Classic tents - $240pp* (5 per tent max)

 Includes sleeping pad. Bring sleeping bags/pillows/sheet for sleeping pad-if preferred

Vista tents - $290pp* (6 per tent max) Vista: Includes bunk style cots, fan and heater. *bring sleeping bags/pillows/cot sheet if preferred*

*Includes access to the park both days (from opening Sat morning until closing Sun evening). Families can arrive any time Saturday but must exit the park to get gear for the event check in at 4PM. Event ends at 9:30AM on Sun and families can get stamped upon exiting to be able to re-enter after stowing gear. Dinner, late night snack, breakfast and s'mores included – no outside food/beverages of any kind. Including “firewater” (they will check – so no coolers. Special drinks available for purchase.) 

Note: If a family has a season pass, they can be refunded the park ticket cost after registering ($72/adult, $62/child)

Below is the itinerary for our event.  Note: There will be no skits or candy man due to the tight schedule

Saturday 3/2

9:30 AM Safari Park admission begins

12:00 PM Expedition game (Zoo Scavenger Hunt) ** LINK WILL BE SENT TO YOUR DAYCAREWORKS EMAIL AT 12PM **

4:15 PM Roar & Snore Check-in

4:30 – 5:30 PM Enter Park with Guide

5:30 – 6:30 PM Dinner at camp

6:45 - 7:20 PM GCPE Meeting at the Raptors Nest  (will move indoors if raining)

Next events, New members, Pinewood awards, Scavenger awards, Patches 

7:30 PM Meet with Tour Guide

7:40 PM Exclusive walking tours depart

9:15 PM Camp activities & snack at Kilima Point 

10:30 PM Lights Out

Sunday 3/3

6:30 AM First Wake-Up Call

Visit Elephants and Lions at your leisure (Lions active in the AM)

6:45 AM Final Wake-Up Call

Luggage must be packed and outside of tents

7:00 AM Breakfast at Kilima Point

8:00 AM Private tram 

9:00 AM Wildlife Ambassador Presentation

9:30 AM Program Concludes

Luggage Collection in the Parking Lot

10:00 AM Access Safari Park at leisure

PACKING LIST:

SPECIAL NOTE: Weather forecast is predicting intermittend rain. Bring rain gear, a towel and some form of non-electronic entertainment (board game, cards etc)

Comfortable closed toe shoes

Weather appropriate clothes + hat + sunglasses

Toiletries + Medications + sunscreen + insect repellent

Sleeping bag + pillow + cot sheet (Vista and Classic Tent reservations)

Extra blanket

Flashlight
